Intervuws is an AI-powered platform. This disclosure explains how artificial intelligence is used in our Service, what that means for users and participants, and the principles we apply to ensure AI is used responsibly.
The core function of Intervuws is the conduct of structured one-to-one interviews by an AI system. Interviews are not conducted by a human interviewer. The AI asks questions, responds to answers, follows up on interesting points, and concludes the conversation — all autonomously.
The AI interview conductor is powered by Anthropic's Claude API. Claude is a large language model developed and operated by Anthropic, PBC.
When researchers create a new project, an AI assistant guides them through the setup process — asking questions to understand their research context and automatically populating project fields. This is also powered by Claude.
Once interviews are complete, the platform uses AI to analyse transcripts and generate thematic summaries, key quotes, and research findings. These are AI-generated outputs and should be reviewed by the researcher before being relied upon.
Following each interview, the AI automatically extracts insights from the transcript — such as communication style, key concerns, and follow-up areas — and stores these as notes in the stakeholder profile. These notes inform future interactions with the same participant.
Researchers using Intervuws to conduct interviews with stakeholders or candidates are required to disclose that AI is being used. The platform provides:
Researchers must not configure the platform in a way that misleads participants about the nature of the interaction. Claiming that interviews are conducted by a human when they are not is a breach of our Terms of Service.
If Intervuws is used in a recruitment or selection context, the following applies:
If you are a candidate who has completed an Intervuws interview as part of a recruitment process, you have the right to request human review of any AI-generated assessment and to understand how it was used in the decision-making process. Contact the employer or researcher directly.
Users of the Intervuws platform agree not to:
Anthropic, PBC is the developer and operator of the Claude AI models used by this platform. Anthropic operates under its own terms of service and usage policies (anthropic.com/legal). Anthropic processes interview data as a data processor on our behalf when the Claude API is called.
We are committed to using AI responsibly and in compliance with Anthropic's usage policies.
